We took a road trip to some rural parts of the country the other day, and for some reason I uncharacteristically decided to shoot in black and white.
At some point we visited a small town/village called Sarata Monteoru that doubles as a no-fuss summer resort town during summer. Of course, at this time of the year it was practically deserted, which didn't bother us at all. It's surrounded by hills and trees and parted in half by a sleepy stream. Remnants of the communist times lurk about here and there: a ruined construction, an old statue that means nothing anymore and new attempts at rebuilding, shyly.
Here you can find some information about this town, with English subtitles.
